Using the Scheduler Board

Navigate the drag-and-drop scheduling board to roster carers and manage your week.

The Scheduler Board is where coordinators plan and manage the roster. It shows all jobs across the week with a carer availability overlay so you can spot gaps instantly.

Using the Scheduling Board as a Care Coordinator

A tour of the Teiro scheduling board: a week of care at a glance, seeing who is on and where the gaps are, assigning a worker from the availability panel, and moving a shift so the whole team sees it immediately.

Board layout

The board displays jobs as blocks on a timeline. Each column is a carer; each row represents a time period. You can switch between day, week, and fortnightly views.

Carer availability overlay

Toggle the availability layer to see which carers are available for each time slot. Availability accounts for leave, existing jobs, and default working patterns.

Assigning a job

Drag a job block onto a carer's column to assign it. Teiro checks for conflicts (overlapping jobs, qualification mismatches, travel time) and flags them immediately.

Colour coding

Jobs are colour-coded by status: draft (grey), confirmed (teal), in progress (amber), completed (green), cancelled (neutral).

Toolbar filters

Use the toolbar to filter by customer, service type, or carer. This helps when managing large rosters across multiple programs.

An unfilled shift doesn't have to be assigned directly

If a service on the board doesn't have a carer yet, dragging someone onto it isn't the only option. Open the service, tap Assign Worker, and you'll find Offer to team underneath the candidate list -- it puts the service in front of a tier of eligible carers instead, and the first one to accept (or the one you choose, depending on how the offer resolves) gets it. See Offering an unassigned service to your team for the full walkthrough, including why the default tier can look empty for a new client.
