Approving schedule changes and requests

Review and action leave requests, availability changes, and standing instruction edits.

When carers submit leave requests, availability changes, or request edits to standing instructions, those requests land in the Approvals queue.

The Approvals screen

Approvers see a list of pending requests with relevant context — the carer's name, the dates affected, and any scheduling impact (jobs that would need reassignment).

Approving or rejecting

Each request has an Approve and Reject button. Add a note when rejecting so the carer understands why. The carer receives a push notification with the outcome.

Impact on the roster

When leave is approved, affected jobs are automatically flagged as needing reassignment. Teiro suggests alternative carers immediately.

Who can approve?

Approval access is role-based. By default, Admins and Approvers can act on requests. Schedulers can view requests but cannot approve them unless granted the permission.
