Terms of Service

These are the terms that govern your use of Teiro. We’ve written them to be understood — not to bury obligations in legalese. Read them, and if something doesn’t make sense, ask us.

Last updated: February 2026

Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Teiro account or using the Teiro platform, you agree to these Terms of Service on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms form a binding agreement between Teiro ("we", "us") and the organisation subscribing to the service ("you", "the Customer"). The person accepting these terms warrants that they have authority to bind the organisation.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email. Your continued use of Teiro after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

What Teiro provides

Teiro is a care workforce management platform for Australian disability support, aged care, and community health providers. The service includes:

  • Scheduling and rostering tools for managing carer jobs and availability
  • A mobile application for carers to access their schedules and record activity
  • Customer record management including care plans, contacts, and documents
  • Compliance documentation tools including qualification tracking and expiry alerts
  • Communications tools including SMS, email, and activity logging
  • Reporting and audit trail features

We reserve the right to add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce functionality you rely on.

Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must ensure that users you add to your Teiro account have authorisation to access the information you grant them access to. Role-based access controls are available to limit what individual users can see and do — it is your responsibility to configure these appropriately for your organisation.

You agree to provide accurate information when setting up your account and to keep it current. If your contact details change, update them promptly.

Notify us immediately at support@teiro.com.au if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Teiro only for lawful purposes and in ways consistent with its intended use as a care workforce management platform. You must not:

  • Use Teiro in any way that violates applicable Australian law or regulation
  • Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, or infringes third-party rights
  • Attempt to access systems, data, or accounts that you are not authorised to access
  • Introduce malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the platform
  • Resell or sublicense access to Teiro without our written consent
  • Use the platform to process data unrelated to care workforce management without our consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these requirements, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the breach.

Your data is yours

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Teiro — including customer records, care plans, carer profiles, documents, and communications. We make no claim to this data.

We process your data only to provide and operate the Teiro service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data, use it for our own benefit, or share it with third parties except as necessary to operate the service.

You can export your data at any time through the platform. On account closure, we will retain your data for 90 days to allow for recovery, then delete it. You may request an export before deletion.

You are responsible for ensuring that the data you enter into Teiro — particularly personal information about clients and carers — is handled in accordance with your own privacy and legal obligations, including the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

Subscription and billing

Teiro is provided on a subscription basis. Pricing is as set out on our pricing page or as agreed in a written quote. Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually in advance, depending on the plan you select.

You authorise us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred under your subscription. All fees are in Australian dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. To cancel, you must do so before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused time unless required by law.

We reserve the right to change pricing. We will give at least 30 days notice of any price increase. If you do not accept the new pricing, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

We may suspend your account for non-payment after reasonable notice. Suspended accounts are restored on payment of outstanding amounts.

Limitation of liability

Teiro is provided in good faith and we work hard to keep it reliable and accurate. However, to the extent permitted by law:

  • We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service
  • Our total liability for any claim arising under these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law where they apply.

Availability

We aim to keep Teiro available around the clock. We perform maintenance with advance notice where possible, and we monitor the platform for outages.

We do not currently offer a formal SLA with financial remedies for downtime. If this is a requirement for your organisation, contact us at legal@teiro.com.au to discuss commercial arrangements.

Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@teiro.com.au.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Teiro if you breach these terms and fail to remedy the breach within 7 days of notice, or immediately for serious breaches such as unlawful use.

On termination, your access to the platform ceases. We will retain your data for 90 days and then delete it, unless you request an earlier export and deletion.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria for the resolution of any dispute arising under these terms.

We will always attempt to resolve disputes directly and reasonably before any formal process. If you have a concern, please raise it with us at legal@teiro.com.au.
